Chelsea Skelton and Caramba

Leading the Field is Showjumper Chelsea Skelton, 21 regularly sees off her older rivals and shines as one of the sport’s upcoming equine super talents. Chelsea has ridden 10 year old Caramba since he was five, and describes the horse as a reformed character. “He was really naughty – he used to go up on his back legs and leave the arena. Sometimes I still have to ride him for two hours first to stop him running off with me,” she says. “We couldn’t afford to buy a really good horse, so we had to go for something that was a bit quirky. I saw him advertised and begged my mum to go and see him, and we bought him with the money she had saved up to buy a new kitchen!”

Lizzie Baugh and Quarry Man

Leading the Field is Eventer Lizzie Baugh, 21 and the 'Ars Vivendi' son Quarry Man, who have enjoyed top results.  The pair represented Great Britain, as individuals, at last summer's young rider European Championships and are long-listed again this year.  Lizzie says about Quarry Man "He is so consistent across each phase and level-headed; he comes out each time and does it - I can really depend on him".
